M&M Catering has stepped up to the tee offering to prepare a dinner in the honour of the 2012 Putter of the Year. Should anyone have suggestions with regards to potential sponsors for the three remaining categories, they should do whatever is necessary to reach either T-Del or Michael.
Thanks in advance!

Putting contest: T-Del wins by 6 strokes!
Match play: Michael wins 6 and 4
May 5-7 stroke play tournament: Michael leads by 20 strokes after round two.
It was a day for sensational play - T-Del started with the first ACE of the season during the putting contest. There were few, if any ties, with T-Del jumping out to an 'up two after two' lead. Michael came back to tie it after four. T-Del and Michael exchanged aces but at one point, Michael had the first (and hopefully) five putt of the season, culminating with a six stroke thrashing by T-Del.
Undeterred, Michael started the match play and second tournament round with a 4UP/42 on the front nine, sealing T-Del's fate on the fourteenth hole and scoring a tidy little 83 after putting out on the final green. T-Del finished strong for the second day in a row, firing a more than respectable 51, setting the bar for the third round.
YEAR TO DATE
Putting: T-Del 1, Michael 1 (T-Del up by four strokes overall)
Match play: Michael 2, T-Del 0
Tournaments: TBD

And it begins!
The 2012 season started off with both concerned parties coming to grips with the new Golf Canada 'equitable stroke control' calculation. They both were comfortable and happy with the old method of determining what one's handicap was, but alas, the past is the past... and nothing can be done to change that.
This year our competitors will compete in three competitions: the season-long 2012 Putting Championship, 2) the season-long 2012 Match Play Championship, and various stroke play tournaments. While it is known that every individual outing will see a putting AND match play competition, it is unknown how many tournaments will be played this year. Overall there will be four titles up for grabs in 2012 - all titles are currently without sponsors: Putter of the Year, Match Play Champion, Stroke Play Tournament Champion and Player of the Year.
Bookies in Vegas are all of the same opinion... both T-Del and Michael have a 50% chance of winning any or all of these titles. How things will evolve over the season, nobody knows. Come back often for results and standings!
